Oops See mate it happened again and even if you had managed to get your link in we use a nofollow as do most blogs which means it would only have helped you get a few curious onlookers so I wasn't really being nasty just trying demonstrate a point. Firstly your site should be relevant to the content on the page. Secondly don't try to link to your homepage (only from directory's & the Like) try deep linking to a page of relevance. But mostly get your page rank up a bit first, tidy up a bit then list on some directorys, right a few articles on fishing and your experiences and syndicate, network you don't have to link to competitors contact some clubs and ask for some friendly links you could even offer them a discount or free gift. Its basically a learning curve and every industry is different. Once your page ranks up a bit it you will become more visible and you may even start getting unsolicited links as long as your offering something interesting. It can be hard work so make sure you not barking up the wrong tree and the effort you put in counts for something. I will send through an optimisation report for your website with recommendations .(Reply by Moderator: Richard )
